Following corona virus outbreak, the Albanian government started to take measures. However, with the latest changes, the measures are not as strict. Due to a low number of confirmed cases of infection, the Albanian government has decided to lift the measures by the 18th of May. Most businesses are already allowed to reopen. The borders, hotels, and services for tourists will be open from the 1st of June. The government presented a few prevention measures:
Rules of stay in accommodation structures
a) Temperature check – guests could be asked to take their temperature at each entrance;
b) Hotel check in – upon arrival manage the physical distance at least 1.5 meter. Clients should send to the hotel, before arrival, all information for registration and a copy of the identification document – to avoid queuing on reception;
c) Use of elevators – respect for the human distance of 1 meter. Family members can take the elevator together;
d) Clients can be asked to complete Self-declaration & Travel Data to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Rules in Food service
a) Clients should strictly disinfect their hands & maintain a distance of 1.5 meter;
b) Buffet and liquid machines can use only staff;
c) Self-service is not allowed.
d) Distance between tables 1 meter
Rules for Activities
a) Fun activity – clients should to measure the temperature before entering;
b) Keep the physical distance of 1.5 meters;
c) Sports activities (gym) – you should to disinfect hands before entering the gym & throughout the exercise;
d) Children’s playground is forbidden;
e) Swimming pool area – keep a distance at least 2 meters from one group to another;
f) SPA / Sauna – keep the distance of 1.5 meters.
g) Prohibition of entertainment activities until the end of the epidemic caused by COVID19 infection.
Rules for Beach service
a) Wash and disinfect your hands regularly and properly;
b) Use masks according to instructions;
c) Avoid crowds and any kind of contact;
d) Do not touch the face and nose with unwashed hands;
e) When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth / nose with forearms or disposable wipes;
f) If you notice COVID-19 symptoms, call the number 127;
g) Maintain a distance of 3 m between persons during swimming;
h) When receiving services on the beach keep a distance of 2 m from each other;
i) Keep your distance while walking on the beach, the lake, the river or along the promenades;
j) The staff serving near the beach stations should have distinctive uniforms, masks and gloves.
k) Sunbed’s distance from the sea 10 meters, from umbrella to umbrella 3.5 meters,
Rules for Transfer service
a) The whole vehicle should be disinfected by licensed enterprises;
b) Drivers and escorts should respect the physical distance with the passengers;
c) Passengers should not sit next to each other, but diagonally or 1-meter distance;
d) During the entire travel period, passengers must use masks given by the guide/driver;
e) Due to the conditions the ventilation of the vehicle should be as natural as possible.
