Permet & Thermal Springs | Day Tour

In ancient times, the area of ​​Permet was known as Triphilia and was part of the “Melotid Region”. In the center of the town is a legendary rock named after the town. Permet is known throughout Albania for its excellent hospitality and cuisine. It is worth seeing to see the natural beauty that the city offers. There are 15 churches and 4 mosques in Permet. Near the Katy Bridge, there is a hot spring with healing properties. 200 meters from the hot spring pool, you will find spectacular views of the Langarica Valley.

Permet is the city of roses, smell the enchanting roses and bathe in the rejuvenating waters of Benje, take pictures on the elegant bridge of Katiu over the Lengerica River, enjoy the homage to traditional tastes of the local cuisine.

Our jeeps start from Saranda at 08:00 traveling via the new road. We drive through the countryside of Delvine. Right after passing the bridge of Kardhiq in Gjirokaster, we make a 30′ coffee stop in the  pleasant Kelcyre

Permet, the next destination, a cozy little town steeped in history, surrounded by mountains and flaked by the Vjosa river. 

Get your bathing suits ready for our stop at the thermal pools of Benje Permet. 

These treasured waters from the thermal springs are famous for their healing properties. In the background – the Lengarica canyon, Permet – great rock formations and a charming river running amides. Standing 150 m high and 5 km long it sets a stunning scenery.

After we will stop for lunch in a traditional restaurant.                               
Finishing the lunch we start our journey back, but our adventure is not over. We will stop
in Tepelene a historical city. It is located on a magnificent mountainous landscape
surrounded by unspoiled natural scenery of three rivers. Its name is due to a famous
man in history of Albania…(to be discovered)
