Shkodra And North Albania in 6 Days

Overview- Shkodra

• Shkodra is the biggest city in the north Albania,  but the center of the city seems definitely like a small town. The perfect location of the city, gives you the opportunity to explore and enjoy the beauty of nature. One of the most popular things to do is hiking from Valbona to Theth. 

Itinerary

Day 1. Airport – Shkodra

Arrival at Tirana airport and departure to the city of Shkoder, known as The Cradle of Arts and of course city of bicycle. On the way we will stop in Kruja, where we will visit the Scanderbeg Museum, Ethnographic Museum and the Old Bazaar. Lunch in a traditional restaurant. Arrival in Shkoder in the evening.

Day 2. Shkodra – Theth

In the morning wi will visit the Rozafa castle, Marubi national photography museum, old town and enjoy the beautiful Lake of Shkodra. After lunch we direct to Thethi.

Explore some main attraction of Theth like old church and the Lock Tower.

Day 3. Theth – Valbone pass

A full day to enjoy Thethi and hike to Valbona.

With our local guide we will hike to the Grunas waterfall.

The tour proceed with the Valbona pass which is the best hiking option in Albania. The trail lead you through forests and pastures of National Park of Valbona and to Valbona pas at the high of 1750 mt. From this point you can enjoy a marvellous view.

Day 4. Valbona Valley

After a traditional breakfast the day will proceed exploring Valbona valley and see Valbona Waterfalls, Xhemas Lake, Old Mill, Rrogam River and of course tasting the local food.

Day 5. Valbona- Koman Lake- Durres

We are going to leave Valbona and get the ferry to pass through Koman Lake. There’s no other place in Albania where in such a small area you can see and explore a vertical landscape that goes from 170 to 1800-2400 meters. And of course enjoy the beautiful view which can’t be describes with words. Living the ferry we head to Durres where in the afternoon we will enjoy the sea side city during the night

Day 6. Durres – Tirana

In the morning we will begin our tour with a relaxing walk in this beach town and a historical center. Durres is home of the largest amphitheater in the Balkan Peninsula. It has also the largest Archaeological Museum which shows traces of the ancient cultures that have passed through Albania. After we will proceed to Tirana. After lunch you will have free time to walk in the center of the capital and enjoy the best nightlife city in Albania.

Day 7. Tirana – Airport

Transfer to the airport. End of the service.
