Valbone To Vusanje

Valbone is a starting point for a lot of tours where you can choose your next destination. With this tour we are starting from Valbone to get to Vusanje.

Valbona to Vusanje is one of the best trails of the Accursed Mountains. Regardless of the fact that it is not very popular (like Valbone to Theth), most are thinking that it is very beautiful too. This hike is not only a pass from a village to another village, but it is also a pass-through two beautiful Valleys, to Valbone Valley and Vusanje Valley and it is a pass from the country of Albania to Montenegro. So, you give yourself an opportunity to cross the border with a view!

The hike start to Valbona, passing through Valbone Valley ascending to Kukaj village. After 30 minutes into the journey, you will see a very graceful old mountain hut. The owners are very friendly, and there you can have the chance to drink something. They carries all the drinks from Valbona with a mule.

After this you will go uphill through the very beautiful scenery of the Valbona Valley: From there you will take the trail, descending for around 5 km up to the border between Albania and Montenegro up to Zastan hut.

You will walk through an unpaved road for around 5.8 km on your right side, you can find a very beautiful spring called, Blue Eye of Vusanje or Oko Skakavice (The eye of a grasshopper. After 1.5 km walk you find Gërla waterfall. The hike finish at the point that is near Gërla Canyon.
